Our Cute Kids on Halloween

I know it was a while ago, but I just thought that I would put up this cute picture of all the kids dressed up. Aren't they fun? It's nice that we are getting more, too.

Happy Halloween

These are our four pumpkins! I think Marianne is the cutest, but the others turned out pretty well too! Elle wasn't to apt at carving hers so it stayed in tact, maybe she'll get the hang of it next year! We had a great time all week long, thanks for the party Alison, but didn't do much trick-or-treating except to a few patient's homes! If you want to see more pics look at our blog! We love you all!

Well here is the most recent progress of the bathroom remodel. Fortunately it is just about done. There is just a little touch up work but functionally it is finished. Thanks for the help, especially Geoff and Jackson! We were pretty excited about the results and think it turned out well. Enjoy!

Hi Everyone

Hi from Joe in LV

Hi from me and the kids.
Sam is cheesing it.
Matthew taking a self portrait.

Hi Everyone! We sure miss everyone and our family is tired of being apart and can't wait for Joe to come home in about 3 weeks. Keep your fingers crossed for us that things stay on schedule and he can come home. We are adjusting to the school schedule. We've been sleeping in all summer. Now Matt has to catch the bus at 7:40 a.m. It is amazing what you can get done before 9:00 in the morning if you are awake. We met a few more families that live near us at the bus stop. It is just good to be in a routine again.

Yesterday, Matthew took the digital camera outside and wanted to take some pictures to help him remember his house here and some of the things around us. I thought I would share them because one, it's interesting what a 5 year old boy finds interesting. and second maybe you'll see a little of England too.

The Goat That Ate Gavin

Last week I met up with some of my friends at Gardner Village. We took our kids to the petting zoo (If anyone is interested the petting zoo is not very good. Go to Thanksgiving Point instead).

There was a goat there that was very interested in our stroller. He started by nibbling at Gavin's shoe. Gavin hated it and started to cry. Once I got Gavin out of the stroller I tried to shoo the goat away, but his head was caught in the stroller. Someone who worked there had to come and shove his head out by holding it's horns and pushing it back through the bars.

It didn't matter that the goat had already been removed from the stroller, though. He still wanted something from us. So he started in at another angle. Finally, I moved the stroller out of the goat area all together. But no, no, that goat was not going to be stopped. He finally got what he wanted when he stuck his head through a fence into our diaper bag and stole a small bag of candy. I pulled it from his teeth as he was running off with it. We finally left the petting zoo and went on a horse ride instead. Jackson thought the whole thing was a lot of fun.

Temple Trip

We were able to go to the temple last Saturday and had a wonderful experience. We arrived really early and stayed late to take pictures and enjoy the beauty of the temple grounds. Not being rushed was a wonderful blessing, as it seems that usually we are rushed. This was an attempt by the ward and the Elder’s Quorums to have a temple trip. The turnout was actually fairly good, which also made it nice. But the neat thing was that staying late we actually saw a sister from our ward who had missed our session be attended the next one. She was waiting for a ride, and was expecting to be waiting for nearly an hour, while some other ward members watched her young son. So staying a little later we gave her a ride and it all turned out well. Perhaps that was the greatest part of our outing—putting the covenants we had made into practice. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

From Mom...

Just wanted to say Hi and that I love you all. -Love Mom

County Fair 2008

Last week Dad took the boys and I to the County Fair. Jackson loved seeing the animals. When Dad and I paused to watch the kids showing their pigs we were amazed at all that the judges had to say about each pig. Who knew there was more to appreciate about a pig besides the bacon.

Jackson loved the rides, of course. He rode a boat, "drove" a car and a motorcycle. It was a great time had by all.

Clean Boys

Sometimes we just get sick of the stinking rotten crumbs in everything. So here are the boys cleaning them up. Sadly, this is the most exciting thing in our lives right now.

The Bathroom Remodel

As many of you know we have been remodeling the downstairs bathroom!!!! This is a picture of the improvement from the ugly linoleum to the beautiful concrete floor, maybe we will just stop here. . .

Vanna White is presenting the nice new shower, well it isn't quite there yet. After tearing out the old tile, lathe, plaster, and sheetrock, as well as getting rid of the years of mold, we decided to make the front entrance wider and to put in a sliding glass door. We also put in a nice new light to make it seem less like a cave. Next step will be tiling the floor, then the shower, then the tub surround. We'll keep you posted!

The Odyssey begins. . .

This is just a little picture of our vacation earlier this summer to Cascade Springs and Midway with Parry and Jill. We had a lot of fun and took a lot of pictures! The biggest news in our lives is that we went and saw the new Batman movie! It was fun to get out and have a date. Really that isn't the biggest news but it is the most recent for sure. We are excited to have this blog and hope that it helps us to stay in better contact! Thanks for your additions Amanda it is great! Well we are off to go swim at Mom and Dad's so see ya!
